Children are Blessings
Before I start by saying anything else I know the following two things to be true:
~Children are blessings
~The Lord/Higher Power blesses you with the child that you need at the particular time that you need him or her
It is really true what they say, “children are blessings and essentially a gift onto the world.” They to me are like little gifts that keep on giving…truly. It is funny how children come into the world for oh but 5 minutes and already we begin to ask ourselves or rather tell ourselves, “I do not know what life would be like without this little person in it.”
I really do believe that it is also true that the Lord/Higher Power blesses you with the child that you need at that particular time that you need him or her. It has been true in my life with my 5 year old and I am sure that it is true in your life.
just to share, when I became pregnant with my daughter I was just about to finish my first year to a two years masters program at Howard University. What will you know the Lord blessed me with the kind of child that I needed at the particular time that I needed her so that I could finish schoool on time. I found her easy going temperment and her eagerness to get the firsts done early very helpful, especially, while I was on my journey to finish school. For firsts, she began sleeping through the night at two months and that was a big help to me when I needed to be up to study or to write. I could go on and on but I will not. Just know, she has been one of the ultimate blessings in my life and well just a little helper to me in so many ways.
Now I do realize that not everyone’s narrative will be the same…maybe your narrative was different and the opposite has been true where your child was somewhat difficult or rather not so easy…perhaps he or she suffered from Colic. The Lord/Higher Power could be preparing you to relearn the lesson on patience that you did not quite learn or get to master before you had your blessing. He could also be grooming you to deal with somewhat difficult people or situations. Well whatever your narrative, we know that children are evident blessings and blessings that are given upon us for a particular need for a particular time. While we know what we know, let us make sure to take the time to hug up on our needed blessings, kiss up on them, and tell them we love them, as much as we can.
