Can you believe we have just a few more hours left before 2016 is over! My how the year has flown! As I reflect back on this year I have so much to be grateful for, one, I am still here. If you are also glad to still be here can I get an AMEN! I want to take this moment to share with you some of my New Year’s Resolutions that I would consider to be actually attainable that you may want to adapt for your everyday life.
- Love more fiercely – Do not be apologetic about loving yourself or others.
- Do more things in the new year that bring you joy; I.e. plan activities that will bring you happiness – whether that means going bowling, kayaking, or going away for the weekend. Take the time to make the time to have fun.
- Do more to maintain your peace of mind. If that means learning the art of saying no…you have got a few more hours’ lol to practice saying it. Say it with me NO!
- Learn and relearn if you have to how to be patient. Patience is in fact a virtue. Remember, Rome was not built in one day.
- Be kinder to yourself and to others even when angered.
- Honor your needs – No more will you push your own feelings to the corner. There is no better time to honor your needs then in 2017.
- Take a leap out on faith – This year to come may be filled with new opportunities for you that could come in the form of a new job, car, house, or etc. Be not afraid of such opportunities.
- Take care of yourself – mind, body, and spirit. Pour into your mind, body, and spirit all that is wonderful, will bring you good health, and is positive.
- No more unnecessary or over used “I am sorry.” Instead replace I am sorry with thank you. For instance if you are late to an event, thank the person if applicable for waiting for you, instead, of saying I am sorry. Remember, it is all about elevating your perspective.
- Listen as much as you advise.
- Get organized – Do what you need to do to get your professional and personal life organized. Google how to get organized if you have to.
- Make time to rest and to smell the flowers in life. Do not let your “go, go, go” life schedule let life pass you by.
- Save money – There are so many methods out there that exist on the web that can assist you with this goal. Find one that works for you and be consistent.
- Cut spending by learning to live within your means. Waste less, and save more.
- With this New Year coming in you want to really work on finding a work life balance. To learn more about work life balance click here.
- Self-Improvement – Do all that you can this year coming to make sure that you are a good partner, a good friend, a good employee, a good child, a good parent , a good relative, etc.
- Make the resolve to make yourself uncomfortable in 2017 – Professionally, personally, and financially. Professionally put yourself out there especially to crowds you are not too familiar with. Personally – ask yourself how I may be of service to myself and to the world around me. Financially – learn how to make multiple streams of income.
As always I thank you for reading. Happy New Year.
Until next time. Take care and be true.
