Who Am I?
Who am I? Goodness how often are we afforded such an opportunity to really reflect on self and to ask ourselves a simple and a powerful a question as “who am I?” After giving the question some thought….at this point in my life, I can honestly say that I am unapologetically unafraid to say that I am living in my truth. I am living a life that I am unafraid of…where I can live, push boundaries, and most importantly be intentional.
As a fairly new parent to a five year old little girl, who for all who are parents, are like sponges; it is very important for me to be intentional with who I am and how I decide to sashay through life. My daughter is at a very impressionable age and I just want to make sure I am pressing upon her the right intentions. It is also important for me to push boundaries…..to get out of my own way and get out of my comfort zone. It is only when I began to do that did I feel like I was unafraid and truly living.
Before I leave you, I once had a phone conversation with a woman, whose name for the moment, has escaped me, yet whose message will never leave me. In our conversation she reminded me that “we are all meant to shine daily…so just shine.” As an artist i.e. a writer I share stories to help remind myself and others that we have the right and the permission to shine every day. Lets be who we are and do it unapologetically, fearlessly, lively, with intention, and without boundaries.
